Leisure Roam is a versatile travel application that streamlines the process of finding and booking flights, car rentals, and hotels. By integrating all three components, users can efficiently make travel arrangements, saving time and effort.

Problem

Leisure Roam faced the challenge of designing a distinctive travel app that balanced sophistication, user-friendliness, and efficiency, while also compelling users to choose it over numerous competitors in the market.

Solution

Leisure Roam simplifies travel by offering flight bookings, car rentals, and hotel reservations—all in one app. This consolidation eliminates the need for multiple downloads, streamlining the user experience.

Research and User Insights

I conducted research by interviewing three student travel enthusiasts. Each session lasted between 15 to 30 minutes, where I explored their travel app preferences, usability experiences, and any pain points they faced. I took detailed notes from these interviews and analyzed them using an Affinity Diagram to extract key insights.

After conducting thorough research and interviews, several key findings emerged: the app needs to incorporate features for clear time management assistance, an intuitive and simplified interface, compatibility with email and various calendars, and integrated AI-driven customer assistance.

Takeaway

Leisure Roam introduced me to the world of UX/UI, and I fell in love with the craft. It provided a valuable learning experience, where I honed skills in balancing sophistication with simplicity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and adapting to design iterations. This foundation sparked my passion for creating impactful digital experiences. Moving forward, I'm eager to apply these lessons to continual learning in future UX/UI projects.
